
The Learing Skills Development and Support Programme for Chidren/Persons with Down's Syndrome is addressed to parents and consists of a series of seminars.
The Programme provides a basic theoretical approach towards the development of learning skills in children and persons with Down's Syndrome.
Meetings take place every 15-20 days and topics include:
Early reading and writing
Promoting understanding (for children who can already read and write, but need help in order to become independent readers).
Within the framework of this programme, plans include:
The "adaptation" of classical literary works
A "reading club" for children with Down's Syndrome
A "living" language workshopfor children-persons with Down's Syndrome.
